The question of pulchrum in the thirteenth century has a great number of facets including the possibility of its distinction from the bonum. In this regard, is emblematic the case of the Dominicans school, represented by Albert the Great, Thomas Aquinas and Ulrich of Strasbourg. However, given the unique master-disciple relationship of these authors is pertinent to ask whether his reflections on the beautiful were identical or not. This is the main intention of this paper: synthetically address the reflections of the three Dominican friars around the beautiful, analyzing in each case the particular concept and the proposed solution to the question if the beauty is different from the good.
