dc.description.abstractEl Centro de Estimulación Temprana, programa que entrega apoyo a las familias con un integrante con síndrome de Down entre los 20 días y los 6 años, surge en la facultad de educación de una universidad privada en Santiago de Chile, desde un enfoque multidisciplinar, centrado en la familia y desde el enfoque de derechos. Entre las distintas modalidades de intervención, se ha promovido el trabajo directo con las familias. Este programa ha variado de modalidad, se entrega a los padres, madres y/o cuidadores apoyo psicológico y herramientas para ser agentes activos en el proceso de su hijo o hija con síndrome de Down. Por ello la importancia de evaluar su eficacia, en relación a dos áreas en particular: el bienestar subjetivo, entendido como la percepción de bienestar por parte del individuo, considerando su estado subjetivo y las habilidades parentales: capacidades prácticas que tienen las madres y los padres para cuidar, proteger y educar a sus hijos, y asegurarles un desarrollo suficientemente sano. (Barudy y Dantagnan, 2005). En este sentido, se generaron dos módulos para cada sesión. El primer módulo que busca apoyar el rol del cuidador en el apoyo emocional y en el desarrollo de habilidades parentales y el ejercicio de las mismas y un segundo módulo considera herramientas para estimular a sus hijos, desde distintas perspectivas de la estimulación temprana y el neurodesarrollo.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe Center for Early Stimulation, a program that provides support to families with a member with Down syndrome, arises in the Faculty of Education of Ucinf University, from a multidisciplinary approach, focused on the family and from the rights approach. Among the different types of intervention, direct work with families has been promoted. This program has varied in modality, it is given to parents, mothers and / or caregivers psychological support and tools to be active agents in the process of their son or daughter with Down syndrome. For that reason the importance of evaluating its effectiveness, in relation to two areas in particular: subjective well-being, understood as the perception of well-being on the part of the individual, considering their subjective status and parental abilities: practical skills that mothers and fathers have to care for, protect and educate their children, and ensure a healthy enough development. (Barudy and Dantagnan, 2005). In this sense, two modules were generated for each session. The first module that seeks to support the role of the caregiver in emotional support and in the development of parental skills and the exercise of them and a second module considers tools to stimulate their children, from different perspectives of early stimulation and neurodevelopment.
