Producción científica del conocimiento en una universidad patagónica

Abstract

Presento un análisis cienciometrico, de corte longitudinal, considerando los 38 años de existencia de la Universidad de Magallanes, de producción científica regional, en el área de investigación en educación. Se cuantifica la información de los agentes educacionales chilenos, para recalar en la corriente regional y comparar el aporte de la Universidad a la sociedad de Magallanes y al resto del país. El área temática para investigar es educación y cuál es su valor productivo, constatando el perfil y cuál es el aporte real a sus publicaciones locales y regionales. El resultado está enfocado en la producción de esta universidad como materia de estudio. Comparamos la contribución de nuestra región en relación con la producción científica nacional.

I present a Scientometric analysis, of longitudinal cut, considering the 48 years of existence of the University of Magallanes, of regional scientific production, in the area of research in education. The information of the Chilean educational agents is quantified, to reach the regional current and compare the contribution of the University to the society of Magallanes and the rest of the country. The thematic area to investigate is education and what is its productive value, verifying the profile and what is the real contribution to its local and regional publications. The result is focused on the production of this University as a subject of study. We compare the contribution of our region in relation to national scientific production.
